Welcome to Cedar Class.

The Class Teacher is Miss Lee.

Summer 1 - Our Learning Quest is: Beast Creator

We visited our forest school area to observe minibeasts in their natural habitats.

In Religious Education, we have been learning about The Five Pillars of Islam. Today we focused on the Shahadah.

This term, our focus skill is drawing. This week, we sketched of a part of an insect.

Spring 2 - Our Learning Quest is: A spoonful of Sugar

Thank you to the children who represented Cedar Class in the art competition this term.

In DT, we explored the types of food we need to eat to gain sufficient nutrients.

In History, we researched different aspects of the Industrial Revolution.

This year, our Reading Café was a major success. The children really enjoyed sharing stories with their parents and classmates. Thank you to all the parents who were able to attend.

Amazing homework!

Cedar Class had an amazing time this World Book Day. They really enjoyed reading to the younger children while wearing their amazing consumes.

Spring 1 - Earth and Beyond Parent Quest Letter

In Geography, we used atlases and globes to locate different European countries. We located their human and physical features as well as their latitudinal and longitudinal positions.

In Religious Education, Cedar Class produced this lovely piece of Art linked to the key question (What does it mean if God is loving an holy?)

In Art, we created collages using different techniques and materials.

In recognition of Internet Safety Day 2023, Cedar Class designed some lovely internet safety posters.

Autumn 2 - Parent Quest Overview - Through the Portal

In R.E, we discussed the importance Christmas in the Christian faith and its true meaning. We discussed how important it is to think of others during this special time.

Cedar Class wore their spotty clothing today in recognition of Children in Need. Thank you for all your donations.

Cedar Class visited the church this week where we had time to reflect on our memories. The children had the opportunity to place pebbles in the water as they prayed.

Cedar Class is very proud to be the recipient of the attendance trophy this week.

As we reflect on this Remembrance Day, here are a selection of poems that Cedar Class wrote in their English Lesson.

Cedar Class has worked hard to create a reflection area. Here, they can reflect on things that they are thankful for as well as things that they might be struggling with.

In Cedar Class, we have created a wow board. This is where we display excellent examples of our learning.

In DT, we will be designing and building our own wardrobes. Here are a selection of drawings that we have done so far.
