Our investigation in Science this week was to further explore insulators. Our key question was, 'What effect does a coat have on a snowman and a person?'. We had to plan and carry out our own experiment. We used ice balloons to represent the snowman and warm water in a beaker to represent the person; we used various materials to represent the coat. We found that the coat actually kept the 'snowman' ice because the insulator trapped in the cold! We were were working on our thermometer reading skills and working as a team to check the reliability of our results.
