                 Mathematics Intent                 

 

At St Paul's (Slade Green) C of E Primary School we are committed to ensuring that all children become fluent in the fundamentals of Mathematics, are able to reason mathematically and can solve problems by applying their skills and knowledge.

 

These skills are embedded within Maths lessons and are developed consistently over time with our spiral curriculum.  We are committed to ensuring that children are able to recognise the importance of Maths in the wider world and that they are also able to use mathematical skills and knowledge confidently in their lives and a range of different contexts.

 

We aspire for our children to enjoy Mathematics and experience success in the subject developing their curiosity about it as well as an appreciation of the beauty and power of Mathematics.
