Early Years Foundation Stage

At St. Paul’s (Slade Green) Church of England Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all children are given the best introduction to school life and develop strong foundations upon which to build their future academic and social successes.

During the time spent in Early Years Foundation Stage the children will acquire new skills, develop socially and emotionally, become confident, skilled communicators and learn to become independent investigators. Learning within EYFS is driven by children’s interests and needs, with carefully planned indoor and outdoor environments and activities which stimulate children’s curiosity and provide multiple opportunities to explore and discover, with adults in our setting sensitively observing, supporting and extending learning.
