Nursery Acorns - AM

Mrs Read is the teacher for this class.

Today the children enjoyed solving an egg hunt together in the learning garden. They were then greatly surprised by the kind donations of Easter eggs from the Slade Green Food Bank. Many thanks they were gratefully received!

We're Going on a Bear Hunt! Put a bear in your window for us to find on our daily walk. Maybe you could go on a bear hunt too. How many can you find?

Spring 2 Learning Quest Minibeasts

Little Red Hen

Our story this week was 'The Little Red Hen.' We really enjoyed the story and acted it out several times. We felt sorry for the Little Red Hen! To complete the week we made yummy bread rolls, just the same as the Little Red Hen, which tasted and smelt lovely!

The Gruffalo

We greatly enjoyed the story of 'The Gruffalo' this week. Among many linked activities, we role played the story as a class, made knobbly knee cakes and even made a collage of the 'The Gruffalo' together.

Kipper's Birthday week!

To conclude the half term's Learning Quest we read 'Kipper's Birthday'. We made; birthday cards, our own decorated Kipper's, party invitations and large scale illustrations of Kipper. We finished the week by having a birthday party for Kipper and icing biscuits. A lovely end to the half term!
